Overview
When I started feature discovery and design work, I identified that our product requirement documents (PRDs) were creating significant bottlenecks in our development process. Stakeholders were struggling to extract essential information from overly complex documentation, impacting their ability to efficiently implement and validate requirements.

To address this challenge, I spearheaded a comprehensive overhaul of our documentation framework. The focus was on transforming our PRDs from dense, difficult-to-digest documents into clear, actionable guides that facilitated better understanding and faster implementation.

The resulting template struck a critical balance between simplicity and thoroughness. Its adoption across the product team led to measurable improvements in review efficiency, requirement accuracy, and stakeholder engagement. Most importantly, it fostered better collaboration by making our product requirements more accessible and actionable for all team members.
Process and Approach
To overhaul our PRD's, I broke down our issues into the following:
